No points are awarded to any team member who does not show up for his match; however, the league may allow player substitution and eligibility to win a match or a team point under the following rules:
1. There is a list updated weekly in which all substitute players are ranked.
2. Only ranked substitute players are allowed to compete for points
3. The rank of a substitute is based on credits. A credit is earned each night the substitute shows up. The highest rank goes to the substitute with the most credits.
4. Substitutes must be ready to go at 3:55 every Tuesday. Five minutes before a team's tee time, a team can request a substitute from a league official. A league official will assign the highest ranked substitute available to the requesting team.
5. A Substitute plays for the missing player A or B. In case of a double substitute need, the sub with the lowest handicap matches with the lowest handicap on the other team.
6. Substitutes can only play for the team point.
7. Permanent members are most often selected from the substitute list.
