1. Substitute players, whether for one week or extended period, must pay
$10.00 to league kitty.
2. It is the responsibility of every league member to notify his teammate or
a league committee member if he is unable to make his match. If a league
member misses more than 4 weeks (25% of season) without notifying a committee
member or sending a substitute, that person will lose his spot in the league
and he will be replaced by a permanent sub.
3. If a member should retire from play on his own, or is being replaced for
a league rules infraction, his spot will be filled in the following order:
4. If a league member is asked to retire for league infractions, any money
collected will NOT be refunded.
5. The initial deposit of $200.00 must @ received by April 15th, or the member
will loose his standing in the league and be replaced in the league as
stipulated in rule #3.
6. If two teams are scheduled to tee off and a member of the foursome is missing,
they will relinquish their spot until all four players are ready to tee off.
RULES OF PLAY
7. Format: Team Match Play
8. Strokes are determined from the league established handicap. The high and the
low handicapper in each match receive strokes that equal 2/3rds the difference
between himself and his opponent. The low handicapper in the foursome gives
strokes to all the members of the foursome including his partner for the team point.
9. There will be no double strokes given m par 3's.
10. The maximum score on any hole is double par. The player picks up after double
par except in the case when his match is tied. The hole is then played out to
determine the winner. Double par is recorded on the card.
11. The penalty for a ball hit out of bounds or a lost ball in the BELD GOLF LEAGUE
is the same -- One stroke. The ball is dropped two club lengths from the point
of entry, on a line from the direction that the ball came from.
12. A ball in the fairway can be rolled but in the rough it must be played as it lies.
WEEKLY AND YEAREND POOLS
13. This year we will be collecting three dollars $3.00 per week for closest to the pin
on the two par threes. As in the past you can only win one of the holes. This pool
is NOT optional.
